In Paraguay, a pregnant 10 year old girl,(yes you read that right), has been denied an abortion after being raped by her stepfather.
According to reports from CNN, she was confirmed pregnant after complaining of stomach pains at the hospital and on examination, she was found to be 21 weeks pregnant.
Meanwhile, an international rights group is pressing the Paraguayan government to allow the abortion but the Paraguayan Ministry of Health says there's no indication that the health of the girl is at risk which is the only condition the law can allow an abortion.
The prosecutor in charge of the case, Monalisa Munoz, says a warrant has been issued for the stepfather, who is at large but Paraguayan Health Minister Antonio Barrios says the pregnancy would continue.
