The recurring poor quality of of GSM services being experienced by subscribers in the country has been attributed to poor power supply, multiple taxation by government at various levels and the vandalism of telecommunications infrastructure.
This is according to the executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Eugene Juwah. He says this was the conclusion after several meetings with operators.
Mr Juwah made it clear that NCC is not complacent and that only the elimination of some or all of these will provide the critical success factors in finally eradicating the challenges of quality improvement.
I don't get it. How could power be part of NCC's challenge. I get the part of multiple taxation...yeah, but including power on the list is a lame excuse. Wait a minute, who vandalizes telecom infrastructures that we have heard of? None! Abeg, Juwah fimi le joor.
