Its is so sad that in the twinkling of an eye things can just change dramatically within the twinkling of an eye and that is exactly what has happened in Nepal.
According to reports from BBC, more than 900 people have died in a powerful earthquake in Nepal, with many more feared trapped under rubble.
Nepal is a mountainous nation between India and Tibet known for its hiking opportunities, wildlife parks and temples.
Unfortunately, the 7.8 magnitude quake struck an area between the capital, Kathmandu, and the city of Pokhara and the government has declared a state of emergency in the affected areas.
A national police spokesman told the BBC that 970 people had died in the quake, and that more than 1,700 have been injured.
Meanwhile, a number of historic buildings have also been destroyed including the landmark Dharahara tower, temples and some parts of what was once a royal palace, all listed as UNESCO world heritage sites.
