It seems like the issue of racism continues to be an issue despite people thinking the contrary. This is because the first black mayor was sworn into Parma, a Missouri city last week and 5 of their 6 police officers and some other officials have resigned.
Around 700 people live in the community of which 57% are white and 41% black. However, when Tyrus Byrd was sworn in, majority of the police force who are white resigned alongside the city's attorney, clerk and water treatment supervisor.
Speaking on the development, Mrs Byrd told the Daily Mail she is not sure why they left as she always had a good relationship with members of the department.
Meanwhile, Randall Ramsey, the outgoing mayor who spent 36 years on the job also claims he has no idea why the group quit.
Hmnnnn.....does anyone else smell a rat somewhere?
