Nigerian Election Saga Compares To A Nail-biting Series, How Will It End?

The past few days have been very tense for Nigerians due to the election saga currently going on and I personally apologise for being off the radar for a few days.

Honestly, our elections has been like a nailbiting episode of one of Telemundo's series that gets you on the edge of your seat and just when you think you know how it will pan out, another surprise gets thrown in that seems to make the series longer than its supposed to be.

The presidential elections actually held on Saturday the 28th of this month and as at yesterday, the results are still yet to be announced. In fact my kids and I were all glued to the TV watching the INEC chariman, Atahiru Jega and the appointed representatives read out results from each state amidst cheers and boos from each respective party supporters.

So far the presidential election results for 18 states plus the FCT have been been announced. The APC has 10 states, while PDP has 8 states plus the FCT, Abuja. It's a very tight race with APC leading with 8,520,436 votes while PDP has 6,488,210 votes.

I almost fainted when around 11pm last night when Jega suddenly said that was it for the night and that the remaining results will be announced from 10am today!! Like seriously? It was like saying we will be back after the commercial break.

So the story continues today but my prayer is that God will show up and turn around the story to favor Nigerians because truly it is not about any political party but about Nigeria being steered by the right person to greatness.

So we await the continuation and my prayer is that before the end of today, the President-elect will be announced and we can all continue life peacefully as right now there are different speculations on how it will all pan out eventually.
