Governor Rotimi Amaechi Of Rivers Signs His Last State Appropriation Bill Of 338 Billion Naira


The State Appropriation bill of 338 Billion Naira has been signed into law in Rivers state by Governor Rotimi Amaechi. It consists capital expenditure of 219 Billion Naira and recurrent expenditure of 119 Billion Naira.

Signing the appropriation bill at the Council Chambers in Government House, Port Harcourt, Governor Amaechi said his administration would continue to be purposeful in expending the state budget.

According to him, his administration has been very frugal in spending state funds on meeting the needs of the people of the state and he says he can account for money spent on various projects in the state.

He also thanked members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for being good partners towards the success of his administration and also the opportunity to sign this last budget before he hands over in May.
