Anyone who abandons their vehicle on the highways will be made to pay huge fines according to the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC.
The Ore Unit Commander of the FRSC, Kehinde Dahunsi, made this known in Ore, Ondo State yesterday while lamenting that the abandoned vehicles sometimes cause heavy traffic and accidents on the highways.
He clarified that it is a serious road offence to abandon or leave ‘accidented’ vehicles on the highway and that any vehicle found henceforth will be impounded until its owner pays heavy fines.
