When you talk about Kim Kardashian, what comes to mind asides the sex tape saga of years ago (and always exposing her body...Lol), is her family reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Looking at herself and her family now, it is hard to believe that not too long ago, people barely even knew them until their show kicked off.
Meanwhile, the man that gave them that opportunity is renowned TV and radio host, Ryan Seacrest. According to him, he loved watching The Osbournes, a reality TV show showing then on MTV and that gave him the idea for a family to feature on E!.
In his own words, he recalls that they went to some casting directors to look for families that wanted to be on a series or the world of television generally and the Kardashians indicated their interest.
With this development, Ryan Seacrest said one day he sent a guy in the office to go to their house unannounced with a video camera and shoot the family babrbeque they were having on a Sunday afternoon.
That was their golden moment as the guy that shot the video said "It’s absolutely golden; you’re going to die when you see this tape. They’re so funny, they’re so fun, there is so much love in this family and they’re so chaotic—they throw each other in the pool!’
From there on the Keeping With The Kardashians show started in 2007 and has evolved 8 years after with so many spin offs like, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami and Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest has his own nationally syndicated radio show, production company, a foundation, and continues to host the popular American Idol show for the past 14 years.
