Unfortunately, while I was celebrating my birthday yesterday the 11th of January, reports filtered in that leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Ayo Ni o, Church of Nigeria, Baba Olubon Gabriel Fakeye has passed on.
According to family sources, he died at his residence in Lagos and had been ill for a while from an undisclosed illness at the age of 79.
Since the news went viral, many members of his church have gone on social media to express their dismay and profound condolences on his death.
Baba Fakeye had been leading the C&S church since 1971. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
