In some shocking news, a man identified as Elijah Nwankwo from Ikwo local Government Area of Ebonyi state has died after drinking eight cans of Bullet Energy drink.
Allegedly he drank this quantity as a result of a N1,600(one thousand six hundred naira) bet by one Chikwado Nchionu.
Confirming this unfortunate incident, the police spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, said that Elijah became weak and went into coma after taking the drinks, he was consequently rushed to the Mother of Christ Hospital Enugu, where he was then confirmed dead by the doctor on duty. His body has now been deposited at the hospital mortuary.
This is just horrible! I just hope this serves as a warning to other people as to the danger in consuming too much energy drinks.
