Despite Stomach Infrastructure, Ayo Fayose To Get Loan From Banks To Pay Civil Servants September Salaries

Despite the Stomach Infrastructure programme embarked upon by Governor Ayo fayose this Christmas,  civil servants and teachers in Ekiti state  are still complaining at their outstanding September salaries.

In reaction to this, the governor says the precarious financial situation of the state would not allow him pay workers their salaries.

According to him, the deductions from the allocation of Ekiti state from the Bond sourced by the last administration and commercial loans obtained from banks had adversely affected the state finances.

He also made it known that governors of Jigawa, Adamawa and Katsina States had to send rams and cows to him as part of their support to his Stomach Infrastructure agenda for the Christmas celebrations.

However, he urged workers in the state to be patient as he is working an agreement with some banks to give the state what he called a financial leeway for 6 months to enable him pay salaries.
