Equatorial Guinea Agrees To Host 2015 AFCON


After all the drama of looking for which country to host the 2015 Africa Cup Of Nations, AFCON , the Confederation of African Football, CAF has finally announced that Equatorial Guinea would now host the upcoming event.

Two days ago, CAF disqualified Morocco from the game following their request for postponement of the tournament in their country over Ebola fears.

In a statement released by CAF today, the dates for the tournament will remain from the 17th of Jan to 8th of February 2015 and 4 cities will be used for the tournament and they include Malabo, Bata, Mongomo and Ebebiyin. 

The Head of State and President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo had a meeting with the President of CAF, Issa Hayatou and agreed to host the tournament.

The draw for the finals will take place on Wednesday the 3rd of December in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
