It is no longer news that famous patriarch of the popular family Cosby Show, Bill Cosby, has been under attack in the past weeks as different women have come up to say he raped them many years ago.
The fallout of these allegations has been on the increase as many organisations that had initially planned to work with him have been cancelling based on these allegations.
However, officials at a West Tennessee Christian University continue to stand by their decision to invite embattled comedian Bill Cosby to serve as keynote speaker for the school's benefit dinner scheduled for next month, despite outcry from an advocacy group for victims of sexual assault who say they will protest if he comes for the event.
Bill Cosby has publicly declared that he is a christian but allegations of rape continue to mount against him from multiple women and according to CNN, he has been dropped from projects with NBC, Netflix and TV Land, but Freed-Hardeman University, continue to stand by their position to have him speak at their school next month.
One of the officials at the school said having Bill Cosby over despite all these allegations is an excellent opportunity to make a bold, compassionate advance for the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it shows that they have open arms to receive someone who is undergoing a personal trauma. This he said is in line with the grace and mercy of God and that is what they stand for as a christian institution.
So far, Bill Cosby is yet to make any public comment as regards the rape allegations from about 4 different women including former model, Janice Dickinson.
