Nigerian Eaglets Lose 2-1 To Gabon

Fatigue caused by the difficult traveling arrangements has been said to be the reason Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets lost to Gabon 2-1 yesterday in the final round first leg 2015 African U-17  qualifier at the Stade Augustin Monedan de Sibang in Libreville.

According to Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, the officiating of the match was also poor but that the boys gave their best under the circumstances despite their tired state.

Victor Osimhen gave the Golden Eaglets an early fourth minute goal while the home side leveled up through Moubouhy Ngouba in the 26th minute and Maomikolo Boundembi scored the winner in the 80th minute that saw Osimhen getting a ‘questionable’ red card   from Central African Republic referee, Jean Marc Ganamandji in the 70th minute
