Governor Fashola Declares Horn Free Day In Lagos

For those people who press the horn of their cars unnecessary while driving, the Lagos State Government has declared Monday, October, 15, as a Horn Free day.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa made this known in Alausa yesterday stating that the Horn Free day is expected to reduce the horn pollution that comes from the excessive usage of horns.

Its also to help improve road courtesy, improve lane discipline and draw motorists attention to the importance of road discipline and mutual respect for other road users.

The Horn Free is also a challenge from Governor Fashola designed to complement the efforts by the State Government in the provision and upgrading of traffic infrastructures across the state.

I hope our ‘Danfo’ drivers will adhere to this, learn from it and stop using their horns to play ‘Makossa’ on the roads in their usual annoying manner.
