I woke up this morning to hear of the death of American actor and comedian,Robin Williams who I grew to love since the 1993 comedy movie, Mrs Doubtfire where he pretended to be a female nanny so he could be close to his children.
What struck me about his death is the fact that it is being suspected to be from suicide which makes you wonder why such a person who seemed to have it all from fame to riches would choose to end his life.
Unfortunately,Robin was battling with depression and alcoholism which turned him into a shadow of his former self and made him seek treatment so many times in rehab.
He was a four time Oscar nominee and one time winner who captivated America with his acting.As a matter of fact,American President,Barack Obama gave a glowing tribute to the dead actor today. The president issued a touching statement stating Robin Williams impact on American culture in the past 35 years of his career, saying the dead actor was indeed 'one of a kind'
63 year old Robin Williams is survived by his wife Susan Schneider and children 31 yr old Zachary Pym, 25 yr old Zelda Rae, and 19 yr old Cody
Alan, from a previous marriage.
