Like
it or not,the Big Brother reality TV show has come to stay in Africa as another
season is about to start in September. The first version of Big Brother
ever,was broadcast in 1999 in the Netherlands and since then the format has
become a worldwide TV franchise shown in many countries in different versions.
The
African version first aired in 2003 and has become the biggest reality show in
Africa. This year’s edition will be Season 9 with a mouth-watering prize of
300,000 US dollars which in Naira is over 47 million Naira(*faints*)
There
is a change though unlike the previous editions, this year’s edition is titled “Hotshots” which will have more twists
and intrigues housemates would orchestrate in their quest to smile home with
the grand prize. The housemates will start the game in two ultra-glamorous
houses which are built with magic, fun and mischief in mind.
For 91 days, the
Housemates will do their best to outshine each other in the hope of convincing
Africa that they are the continent’s biggest Hotshot.
Witty and entertaining TV & Radio personality, IK Osakioduwa returns once again as the host of the show.
