With less than 14 days to go, Lagos is going to witness an unprecedented buzz of breast cancer awareness as Sebeccly Cancer Care wraps up plans to break a Guinness World Record for breast cancer tagged #12KLLP.

The #12KLLP is a community awareness event and advocacy drive to push for improved cancer care for patients, by gathering the support of people during the event. A highlight of the event is the human ribbon formation and signing of the cancer appeal tagged #Changethecancerstoryforgood, which implores the Federal Government to increase access for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Currently we have mobilized over 14,000 individuals, 82 team captains, 203 volunteers and 17 corporate organizations. With growing support from the media, corporate organizations and Lagos state, the #12KLLP is strategically placed to break the current record that stands at 6,700.
Our partners include Lagos State Ministry of Health, Sports Commission, Ministry of Environment,Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy, Nigerian Red Cross, National Youth Service Corps, Boys Brigade, First Bank, Bristow Helicopters, Nigeria Police Force, Kick Against Indiscipline, JNCI, Etisalat, Leadway Assurance,Dealdey.com, Bella Naija, Bimztheory.com, Silver Bird Television, Lagos Television, Rhythm FM, Soroptomist, Easy Taxi, Connect.com,Promasidor, Bentos Pharmaceuticals, Adeedas foods, Akbol Foods, Tertiary and religious institutions.
Over 70% of breast cancer patients present with stage III and IV disease which is associated with poor survival rates, the need to educate women is the first step to improving survival rate.
As a cancer care organization committed to increasing cancer survivors, Sebeccly Cancer Care is hosting the 12KLLP (12,000 people would Light Lagos Pink) with set goals to promote breast cancer awareness to over 3 Million Nigerians,to advocate for improved access for cancer patients and raise funds to support the treatment of cancer patients.
We invite individuals and corporate organizations to come out, stand with us in pink and 12,000 Nigerians as we forge a path to reverse the trend.

Pre event instructions
Participants are advised to wear flat and comfortable shoes, be present at the event by 8.00 am, all participants would be led to form the human ribbon in groups made up of 50 participants led by stewards or team captains, once ribbon is formed, a still position must be in place for at least 8 minutes to break the record.There would be music, comedy, light refreshment, souvenirs and entertainment
