Baptist Church In U.S Now Open To Ordain Gay And Transgender Ministers

First Baptist of Greenville, South Carolina has made it known that they open to ordaining gay and transgender ministers.

Speaking on this development, the Senior Pastor, Jim Dant said it is the right thing to do regardless of what anybody thinks about them.

Thus moving forward, the gay and transgender church ministers can perform same-sex unions and ordain any person, regardless of sexual orientation and lifestyle, to serve in a leadership role.

Meanwhile, the church split from the Southern Baptist Church in the early 1990s, and is now a member of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
