London's Heathrow Airport To Undergo Expansion Of 19 Billion Pounds!

According to reports, major international airport in London, Heathrow, will soon be undergoing an expansion project to include a 3rd runway.

Heathrow is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom and the busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic and this project is estimated to gulp about 19 Billion Pounds.

However, there are indications that a total of about 800 homes will have to be demolished to achieve this feat. This runway will be the first new runway to be built in the South-East of England since the 1940s.

Meanwhile, airport authorities have earmarked about 1 Billion Pounds as compensation to affected communities and individuals.
