In this age and time when so many people are running abroad to study, its good to know that Nigerian schools are also moving up the ranks.
The latest ranking of African universities and higher institutions conducted by Journals Consortium on 1,447 higher institutions ranks University of Ibadan as the best university in Nigeria.
The Journals Consortium utilized research publications and citations from the last five years, as well as visibility on the internet.
Meanwhile in Africa, University of Ibadan is the 8th best university, in a ranking largely dominated by South African institutions which occupied six of the first best 10 institutions.
There is also a ranking of the top 10 universities in Nigeria and they are:

3 Ahmadu Bello University Zaria
4 University of Lagos
5 Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife
6 University of Benin
7 University of Ilorin
