I saw these pictures and have had stomach upset ever since. These are pictures from China’s annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival, which held on Monday.
The city in the southeastern region of Guangxi holds an annual festival which is devoted to the consumption of dog meat and thousands of dogs are usually openly butchered for the festival despite protests from animal rights activists.
I won't pretend that dogs are not eaten here in some parts of Nigeria but to actually have a festival where as many as 10 Thousand dogs are killed and displayed for this festival is just mind boggling.
