Former US First lady, Barbara Bush celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday surrounded by family and friends at an entertaining dinner held in her honor.
She was full of smiles at the event and said she is the luckiest woman in the world who has had a great life. She met her husband, former president George H.W. Bush when she was just 16 years old at a dance and they have indeed grown old together. Her husband became the 41st US president in 1989.
The dinner held under a tent at St. Ann's Church, down the street from her summer home, with special musical guests Christian singer-songwriter Amy Grant, country singer, Reba McEntire and Christian singer-songwriter, Michael W. Smith.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, an invite to the party cost $5,000 with the proceeds going to Mrs Bush's literary foundation.
