7 Year Old Girl Gets 9.2 Million Naira Compensation For Wrongful Ebola Allegation

7 year old Ikeoluwa Opayemi has been settled this hefty amount by a Connecticut city for being kept out of school for 3 weeks over a case of Ebola panic.

According to the Daily Mail, the incident occurred last October when Ikeoluwa returned from a 10 day trip to Nigeria with her family and Milford school officials stopped her from resuming school despite the fact that she showed no symptoms of being sick.

Reacting to this development, her father, Stephen Opayemi, filed a federal lawsuit after this 21 day ban from her school, Meadowside Elementary.

Winning the case, they have been paid $30,000 and the settlement also requires the school to provide tutors to the girl to  enable her meet up with what she missed.
