Election crisis in Nigeria continues to transcend beyond a national issue and spill over into our higher institutions as a one of the presidential aspirants of Ebonyi State University Students Union Government, recently got disqualified.
The disqualification of Chigoziem Nwele led to over 2000 students of the institution staging a protest and barricading the popular old Enugu-Abakaliki road over the fact that their popular candidate, was disqualified by the school authority after being cleared by the Electoral Committee.
According to reports, Nwele, a third year student of Computer Science was disqualified from contesting the president of the students union by the school authority over an alleged rumour that he was a cultist in a statement signed by the Dean of Students Affairs, Hillary Eze.
