Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole became popular for his energetic passion and solidarity for workers when he was president of the Nigeria Labour congress, NLC.
However he has expressed disappointment with the current leadership of the body, stating that the union no longer have any credibility.
According to the Daily Post, he made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the NLC in Abuja and challenged them to set an economic agenda for the incoming government to protect the interest of Nigerian workers.
Oshiomole also asked the NLC dialogue with outgoing governors who are owing their workers salaries to ensure that all unpaid salaries are paid to workers before they handover.
