After much speculations, history has finally been made in the United States as female federal prosecutor, Loretta Lynch has been confirmed as Attorney General.
She is the first black woman in American history to hold the country's top law enforcement post and she won with a vote of 56-43.
Loretta Lynch will officially begin her new job after the departure of current Attorney General, Eric Holder.
Her confirmation has been the longest in history due to partisan issues but she finally came out tops with President Obama releasing a statement on the confirmation.
