The APC reveals that they actually deliberated issuing former president Olusegun Obasanjo an APC membership card after he tore up his PDP card few weeks ago.
According to reports from the Daily Post, this was made known by the National Chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun.
Speaking at the 78th birthday celebration of Obasanjo in Abeokuta on Thursday, Oyegun said they decided to allow him enjoy his new status of elder statesman and that it would be demeaning to actually issue him an APC card.
He then went on to say it was enough that Obasanjo publicly left the PDP and is now on a neutral stance without belonging to any political party.
