Singspiration Zone: Efe Nathan, Profile Artiste Of The Week ~ BimzTheory

On Singspiration Zone, the show about gospel music which I host on Sundays on CityFm, I usually profile gospel artistes both local and international.

This week, I profiled Gospel artiste, Efe Nathan.

Efe started music many years ago at the RCCG Apapa family. She grew to become the lead singer there and many years later she became the worship leader.

Efe is the second child from a family of 9 children. She is from Urhobo, Delta state and she thinks worship should be a lifestyle of every Christian. As a prolific singer and songwriter, she sings with the consciousness of making an impact and prior to releasing her own album, she used to be a back-up singer for Sammie Okposo.

Efe's style of music can be described as Contemporary African Music which comes across with a tone of ethnicity and brings about an atmosphere of worship, praise and healing in God’s presence.

To be a great worship leader, you must have a heart for God, a passion for worship and the ability to provoke others to worship God and Efe Nathan fits this bill to a T.

Efe has performed live alongside the likes of Michelle Hammond of USA, Ben Okafor of UK, Late Pastor Paul Irabor and Shafi. As a background singer, she has worked with Olufunmi, Mike Aremu, Sammy Okposo, Tosin Martins, Sunny Nneji and Mike Abdul of Midnight Crew.

So far to her credit, she has three albums. The first was, Rock With Me which she released in 2003, the second, A New Level and her latest album which she just dropped in August this year titled, Broken.

With her worship experience, Efe shares her talent by teaching musicians, praise worship leaders and church choirs the heartbeat of God which is worship as well as teaching them how to get to a deeper level in Him.

In conclusion, Efe Nathan can be called a 'Minstrel' who leads people into the presence of God through songs both hers and other people’s songs as well as meditating and singing lyrics that carry the Word of God.
